COVID-19 Latinx Study Extension

Summary

We will utilize the multi-omic PD3 cloud approach to quantify the impact of COVID-19 virus infection on individual patients, including the impact on specific organ systems, such as cardiovascular and central nervous system, where quantitative data do not yet exist. The dataset obtained from this work can also yield additional diagnostic guidance in the following forms: (1) Guidance for stratifying those patients who are at highest risk of severe adverse effects from infection; (2) Identification of SARS-CoV-2-originating immunodominant and protective antigens, as a potential guide to vaccine design; (3) Measurement of the strength of an individual patient?s anti-viral immune response and how that correlates with infection severity; and (4) Development of a public database of T cell receptor genes, and a sufficiently rich biobank, both of which can be mined to identify patients who have been previously infected with SARS-CoV-2 and thus help establish an epidemiology of the disease.
