Early Feasibility Study of the Trisol System Protocol

What is the Purpose of this Study?

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the experimental Trisol System (TRISOL Valve System) in people who have tricuspid regurgitation (TR). TR is a condition in which the heart’s tricuspid valve does not close tightly, causing blood to flow backwards in the wrong direction. Participants will be among the first patients in the world to have this device used for treatment of their heart condition. The Trisol System consists of a replacement heart valve and transcatheter delivery system (long tube) that is designed to allow the valve to be placed into the patient’s heart through an incision in the neck vein, without the need for open heart surgery. All suitable patients will be treated with the study device and will be evaluated for any side effects.

Eligibility

  • 1. Age \>18 years.
  • 2. Subject meets the legal minimum age to provide informed consent based on local regulatory requirements.
  • 3. Participant has symptomatic, moderate or greater functional or degenerative tricuspid regurgitation (TR) as determined by the Echocardiography Core Lab assessment of a qualifying transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE) and/or transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE).
  • 4. New York Heart Association (NYHA) Functional Class II to IVa.
