Liquid Biopsy for Liver Cancer

What is the Purpose of this Study?

This study focuses on patients at Cedars-Sinai who have a history of liver cancer or cirrhosis. The purpose of the study is to collect blood from patients with and without liver cancer to develop a resource for understanding how elements in the blood change in response to various cancer treatments. The study will evaluate circulating cells (including cancer cells) and exosomes (packets of biochemical information that are not cells) in the bloodstream. The samples collected will be used to help researchers understand how blood testing may be used to improve their ability to diagnose and monitor cancers.
