Evaluating Environmental Control (AVOID) and Inhibitory Control (RESIST) Strategies to Improve Weight Management Outcomes

What is the Purpose of this Study?

This study tests strategies to help adults with overweight or obesity (BMI between 25-45 kg/m2) “stick” to weight management recommendations. Specifically, the study evaluates the benefit of 2 self-regulatory approaches to improve intentional weight loss and diet quality among individuals who are seeking to lose weight. Researchers are also interested in examining whether the interventions provide benefit to household members. Participants may receive the Weight Watchers digital program, grocery delivery service, and/or cognitive training game. Participants will be asked to complete study assessments to capture demographic information, height/weight, home food environment, dietary intake, physical activity, and cognitive processes. All assessments and intervention components are delivered remotely.

Eligibility
