AeviceMD for Pediatric Asthma Management

What is the Purpose of this Study?

This study focuses on children who have been diagnosed with asthma. The goal of the study is to evaluate the use of a wearable medical device that can conduct continuous monitoring of vital signs and detect wheezing when worn at home. The continued use of this device, especially during sleep at night, gives insight into the course of symptoms while also providing early warning (should the condition worsen). The device can also be used as a digital stethoscope and sends recordings of the sounds of the patient’s lungs to a docking station to be analyzed. Additionally, participants will be able to send reminders for their medication and log medication intake on the application.
