What is the Purpose of this Study?
The purpose of the study is to assess the impact of an artificial intelligence (AI)-based risk communication feedback system to improve patient decision making and quality of physician risk communication during prostate cancer consultations. The study focuses on people who have been newly diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer. The study will audio record the patient’s treatment consultation and use AI to extract key information and create patient-specific summaries to help patients make informed health decisions. The study will also provide feedback to physicians on their quality of risk communication to help them improve quality of counseling.
